FREEDOM.....

It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. Galatians 5:1

The Beginning of the Journey

I just wanted to write and thank you all for attending the Breaking Free Bible Study. I am excited to go on this journey with you. I know the Lord is working and He will amazes us. It is exciting to think of what is in store for each and every one of our hearts.

I have started the homework....Have you?
As I was studying one of the messages that was revealed to me was to seek wise counsel in HIM. King Uzziah grew in favor due to his ferverent prayer and obedience to the Lord however he became proud....
Proverbs 8:12 - Wisdom prospers those who love her. Pride in itself can lead to Captivity Jer. 13:15-17.

How would you respond if a fellow Christian approached you regarding a concern they had with you? Would you become angry like Uzziah did toward the priests? Would you seek wise counsel as the Word says iron sharpens iron? Would you cry out to HIM?

Looking at Amaziah 2 Chron 25:21 it was interesting to learn he fell due to overconfidence. Are you sometimes overconfident. Do you feel that you are "fine and good" and don't need to cry out to the Lord or continue to seek HIM first?

Hope you are feeling HIS presence as you study HIS Word.

Have a great weekend and we will see you all Monday.

  1. Thanks Michelle for getting the blog up and going. I have started the study and am finding it very interesting. I would like to think I would cry out to HIM but would I?? I think we all become overconfident in our work at times and we do forget to seek out the Lord. I believe we need to be 'intentional' in seeking out to HIM in all situations.

  2. I thought I'd get a good head start on the weeks work and did day 1 - 3 today! I finished up day 3 at Bohdan's hockey practice and forgot my bible and book one a shelf in the change room at the arena. I leave Bohdan in the van and go RUNNING back into the dressing room and find all the coaches looking at the 2 books (AT them not IN them thank goodness) then say they were wondering what they were. All I could say is that they were mine and bolted outta there! I'm sure they think I'm some kind of alcoholic or drug addict with a book called "Breaking Free" UGGGHH.
